Codeless Technology B.V. announces major release of its Codeless product

July 11, 2005 Codeless Technology B.V. has just released a new version of its Model Driven Architecture (MDA) Codeless software development tool. This tool simplifies development of Windows-based business applications, allowing people with little specialized technical expertise to build sophisticated applications.

Codeless Technology B.V. started developing the Codeless tool in 1999, using a team of software engineers as well as international students of the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands. The first version of the final Codeless tool was released at the end of 2004.

The Codeless technology was reviewed by software experts at several renowned institutes in the Netherlands. Their avid interest in the tool supported the company's conclusion that the technically advanced product will be especially valuable for developing business applications rapidly and inexpensively.

In January 2005, two Codeless developers participated in the Dutch Rapid Application Development (RAD) contest. Although they were first time participants and worked with a pre-release version of the product, they took fourth place in the contest.

Codeless partners have now developed complete financial applications as well as ERP systems with the Codeless development tool. These applications are being used successfully throughout several organizations.

As a member of the Object Management Group (OMG), Codeless keeps up with the latest innovations in this area and contributes to the development of international MDA standards. Representatives from Codeless Technology B.V. attended the OMG Technical meeting in Athens, Greece, in April 2005, where they presented the Codeless tool to an international audience.

The company regularly organizes informational seminars on the MDA made easy concept. The next seminars will be held in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, on July 27, August 31, and September 28, 2005. These free seminars, hosted by Codeless technical director Wouter van de Ven, MSc, are open to anyone interested in learning more about MDA tools. The half-day programs will include a presentation describing the principles of MDA and a demonstration of the Codeless tool.
